Affordable summer camps in the Philadelphia area (full-day for less than $300 per week)

Summer camps are a necessity for many families. If both parents work, the kids need to be cared for over the summer. Yet, many families are feeling pinched right now, so we have had a lot of requests for help in finding inexpensive summer camps. We’ve put together a list of camps in the Philadelphia region that are less than $300 per week. There is more information available on all of these camps at ActivityHero.

The City of Philadelphia runs many affordable programs out of many community centers and surrounding municipalities and townships often have affordable camps, alhtough these are often part-day. Local YMCA’s often offer programs that are affordable and have hours that accommodate working parents.

yogini kidsYoga Summer Camp The perfect antidote to a busy year is a week of mindfulness with the Beanie Yogini Kids Yoga Studio! They keep it kid-friendly and fun, using yoga poses to move through a story, creative arts and crafts and lots of time outside in nature. Only $205/week, siblings $175

Delaware County Christian School is hosting a number of great programs at their may7_dccsbeautiful locations in Devon (K-5th Grade) and Newtown Square (6th-8th Grade). Campers engage with a great balance of camp time, field trips and service opportunities. U-Pick-it Specials include archery, swimming, nature studies, photography, arts and crafts, cooking and high and low ropes courses! Only $235/week until June 1rst.
