Affordable summer camps in the Philadelphia area (full-day for less than $250 per week)

Summer camps are a necessity for many families. If both parents work, the kids need to be cared for over the summer. Yet, many families are feeling pinched right now, so we have had a lot of requests for help in finding inexpensive summer camps. We’ve put together a list of camps in the Philadelphia region that are less than $250 per week. There is more information available on all of these camps at ActivityHero.

BETTERBALL! Basketball Camp -$ 225 full day, $150 half day.  Basketball and sports camps are the perfect balance of summer fun with a dose of structure that kids need to avoid boredom.

Kids on Campus at Bucks Community College – $249 full day, $125 half day. Popular workshops and sports clinics. Everything from Lego to Hogwarts to American Girl.

Lehigh University Sports Camp – full-day camps as low as $160 per week. Lehigh offers a number of different sports camps that range from the very inexpensive on upwards. Some overnight camps are as inexpensive as $420 for the week.

Upper Main Line YMCA – $291 for most full day camps; $177 or lower for most half day camps.  Kids pre-school through teen have a lot of choices for day camps, sports, science, theater, fishing and more!

Brooke Lanier Fine Art – $165 half day art camps have small class sizes – six to ten students maximum – and lessons are tailored to better serve each person’s individual interests and abilities.

Montgomery County Sports Performance Center – $195 full day; $150 half day.  Kids get to pick and choose daily from a wide variety of games and activities.  Weekly themes and pizza lunch on Fridays!

Drama Kids Delaware & Drama Kids Philadelphia– prices start at $230 full day, $110 half day.  Drama campers explore all aspects of theater by writing and performing a play that their team creates!

Challenger Sports – Soccer training for beginners to competitive players.  Preschoolers can attend a shorter camp for around $100 per week.  Half day camps for ages 6+ are $110-150 per week.
